UK Prime Minister unveils new Health Information and Discovery Centre at Oxford University

The new Centre for Health Information and Discovery, made possible with a donation of £20 million from the Foundation, was launched by the Prime Minister David Cameron and Mr. Li Ka-shing. The focus of the new Centre is to tap the potential of “big data” to revolutionise health research and offer patients better, safer and more personalised treatments.

	The Foundation made a contribution of HK$30 million from its Just In Time Fund to support disaster relief and rebuilding efforts in Sichuan. The funds were directed to the Ministry of Civil Affairs through the Liaison Office of Central People’s Government in Hong Kong.
