(Hong Kong, 27 November 2025) — Saddened by the profound loss and adversity faced by many, the Li Ka Shing Foundation today announced the launch of an emergency fund of HK$30 million to support registered charities, particularly those serving the Tai Po area, in providing immediate relief as well as longer-term assistance to individuals and families affected by the devastating Tai Po Wang Fuk Court fire that has ravaged so many in our community.
Any registered charitable organisations can apply for financial assistance through a dedicated link on the Tsz Shan Monastery website ( www.tszshan.org/lksfrelief ). Priority will be given to programmes that can swiftly deliver direct aid to those in urgent need.
Additional Support from LKSF Disciplinary Services Fund
Mr. Li Ka-shing joins all Hong Kong citizens in expressing deep gratitude to the courageous firefighters and all first responders for their extraordinary bravery, compassion, and unwavering dedication to protecting our community. Their selfless service stands as a testament to the enduring spirit of Hong Kong. Support for firefighters and first responders killed or injured in the line of duty will be appropriated through LKSF’s existing dedicated Disciplinary Services Fund operating since 1984.
Additional HK$50 million Follow-on Programmes
Mr. Li also extends his heartfelt condolences to all who have endured loss or suffering because of this tragedy. Our thoughts and prayers are with every affected individual and family. The Foundation will also earmark HK$50 million for follow-on programmes to provide sustained support as recovery efforts progress.
