The Li Ka Shing Specialist Clinic is located at the Prince of Wales Hospital in Shatin. The North Wing commenced operation in May 1984 along with the hospital, providing quality healthcare services for the growing population in Shatin.

The South Wing was completed in June 1997 and began operating in the following month to cope with the increasing demand for specialist outpatient services in the Shatin area. The building has five levels and a total floor area of 7,930 sq. m.

Funded by the Li Ka Shing Foundation, Hong Kong's first Orthopedic Learning Center opened in April 1999. The Center, located within the Specialist Clinics, provides orthopedic training for up to 500 medical personnel every year.
