Construction of Chaozhou Hospital began in 1980 and the hospital became operational in October 1982. It has a total floor area of 30,000 sq. m. and 300 beds. Over the years, Chaozhou Hospital has won a number of distinguished awards for its service and facilities.

Chaozhou Central Hospital was formerly known as Chao'an Hospital. In 1981, Mr. Li made a donation to expand the hospital to its present 30,000 sq. m. and 496 beds. Chaozhou Central is the primary hospital in Chaozhou for medical services, medical research and teaching, and emergency services.

As the two largest and best-equipped hospitals in Chaozhou, Chaozhou Hospital and Chaozhou Central Hospital provide quality and efficient medical services for the people of this region.

To help provide medical aid for the poor, Mr. Li has contributed an additional sum to a fund for over ten years. The aggregate amount is now more than $385,000 and it is estimated that more than 5,000 people have benefited.
