The Duchess of Kent Children's Hospital was formerly operated by
the Society for the Relief of Disabled Children. It now provides
specialist services in pediatric orthopedics, spinal surgery, pediatric
neurology, developmental pediatrics, and pediatric dental surgery.
It also provides treatment, rehabilitative services, and accommodation
for patients over 18 years old, especially orthopedic patients with
spinal problems.
The hospital is a renowned center for the treatment of pediatric
orthopedic problems and also serves as a training center for local
and overseas orthopedic surgeons, pediatric neurologists, and developmental
pediatricians.
The Li Ka Shing Physiotherapy Building, donated in April 1991,
helps to provide treatment, rehabilitation services, and accommodation
for children with disabilities.
