The Guangdong Police College is the only four-year college for public security officers in southern China. The College has produced almost 700,000 graduates since its founding, with more than 6,000 officers having received training at the College annually in recent years. The campus covers an area of 373,800 square mile. including the Binjiang and Jiahe districts. The College collaborates with the Chinese People’s Public Security University and the China Criminal Police University to offer undergraduate degree courses, and is a training ground for public security officers in the Guangdong Province.

To support the College’s future development, the Hutchison Whampoa Group has made a donation to build a swimming pool complex to be named after Hutchison Whampoa.
