| The
Caritas Chong Yuet-ming Secondary School was first established in
1972 as The St. Godfrey's Prevocational School. The school was renamed
Caritas Chong Yuet-ming Prevocational School in October 1997 after
the Foundation financed the construction of a new campus. It acquired
its present name in January 2001 to comply with new government guidelines
for secondary schools and to reflect the school's new curricula.
The original school was housed inside a redeveloped factory, which
was deemed inadequate. The Foundation made a donation to rebuild
the school in Aberdeen, which was renamed Caritas Chong Yuet-ming
Prevocational School. The school was completed in October 1997.
In January 2001, the school was renamed Caritas Chong Yuet-ming
Secondary School, as it changed its curricula.
The new school consists of three wings covering an area of 4,000
sq. m. and is replete with a grand hall, library, computer lab,
a special IT learning center and a number of special workshops.
The new school offers upgraded facilities and an ideal learning
environment, in which students enhance their skills and increase
their competitiveness
