We hope the gift of HK$5,000 will enable recipients to focus their energy facing the HKDSE examination. We trust that they will spend the money wisely according to their needs.

Why cash?

Feedback we received from “Love HK Your Way!” campaign indicated unconditional cash distribution could be a direct and cost-efficient approach.

Why HK$5,000?

It’s our team’s general consensus that HK$5,000 for nine months is a reasonable amount for this initiative. Students can use the Gift in ways they consider fit, provided that the Gift shall not be directly or indirectly involved in or leads to any breach or non-compliance of any applicable laws, rules or regulations

What are the expectations for students and the application requirements?

The HK$5,000 is essentially an unconditional gift. We trust that students can make wise decisions and manage their finances responsibly. The amount will be distributed to the HKDSE students from the schools of Yuen Long and Islands Districts upon registration.

What is the expected outcome of this project?

We believe this unconditional and financial support is a worthwhile pilot scheme.

Why are secondary schools in Yuen Long and Islands Districts chosen?

The two districts were suggested because they are remote districts.

Any possibility to extend the project to include other areas?

We will review our learnings from this pilot scheme and decide then.
